S'winter Time

During the process of cleaning out a few storage containers, I found Tyler's winter hat and mittens. I put them on the stairs with the intent of taking them up to his room. He found them and thanked me for the hat. He is walking around the house saying, "Mommy, I am ready for winter time." Here's the catch Bubba: we will have about 6 more months of summer time type weather. It is going to be a long time before he can wear his hat.

The Flying Thompsons

This is what they do in their spare time. LOL.. Please do not call CPS! They made a huge pile of pillows at the bottom of the stairs and proceeded to jump repeatedly until they grew tired. At one point, Bubba tumbled over and hit his head on the wall. He immediately stood up and said, "Mommy, I okay." Then he ran back up the stairs and jumped again.

Will Tell All....

I highly recommend that you never commit a crime in front of NyCee. That girl tells everything and with FULL detail. Tyler opened the pantry to get out a snack. NyCee ran up the stairs and began the whole story. Tyler ran behind her with his explanation of why he retrieved the snack out of the pantry. NyCee had to add in her two cents to every part of his story. She is too funny!

Just when you think it is simple.....

Wednesday night when I left church, I noticed my tire was low. I stopped at the gas station and put air in the tire.

Yesterday afternoon, the tire appeared normal. Last night, while leaving the mall, I noticed the tire was low again.

This morning, it was flat.

The man from the emergency repair team came to the house and attempted to put on the spare tire. He could not as one of the bolts was stripped. He put enough air in the tire so that I could drive to the tire store and have tire repaired.

At the tire store, the worker informs me that 3 of the bolts are stripped and the tire cannot be removed because the bolts need to be repaired. Of course they do.

So he drives my car next door to an auto repair center. I am informed the repair is a quick fix and my car is pulled into the work area.

2 hours later, I decide to take the children for lunch. They were very well-behaved and one man even complimented me on their behavior. After returning from lunch, my car is still NOT repaired. This is just the required component before I can get to the necessary component of a new tire.

I am currently at home as the kids were getting restless. The courtesy shuttle brought me home and now I am waiting for a call to advise the bolts have been repaired all so that I can sit and wait for the tire to be repaired.

WOW! Happy Friday!

"I too little, Mommy."

We were at Kmart and I put the kids against a bicycle chart posted on the wall. (NyCee is getting a big girl bike for Christmas. It will have training wheels but she is too tall for the other bike she received a few years ago.)

Tyler's bike is appropriate for his height. When he stood against the wall, he stated, "Mommy, I want a big bike." I said, "Not yet son, you have to get a little bigger." That is when put on the pouty face and said, "I too little." Isn't that the cutest little face, ever?

"Mommy, I heard that!"

Picture this: a quite afternoon in our house. Tyler was lying on the floor watching a movie. NyCee was in the playroom playing a video game. Mommy was sitting in the family room working. All of a sudden, mommy let out a man sized belch. It was quite surprising to me also. HA! Before I could say, "Excuse me," NyCee exclaimed, "Ewww, mommy I heard that. Say excuse me."

It was classic!

I Honestly Have No Idea!

You are probably wondering why my children have stickers on their faces and foreheads. You are not alone. I wondered the exact same thing when I saw them. I was talking on the phone to a student. My children are being reminded that when I am on the phone they are not allowed to interrupt me. I sent them to the playroom. When they came out, they had stickers on their faces. I said, "Okay. Head up stairs to bed."

To answer your next question, Yup! They went to sleep with the stickers on their faces!

"That's annoying Taylor."

Prior to going to see the fireworks display at my church, NyCee decided she was going to have a photo shoot and Bubba was the subject. She continuously snapped pictures of him (this one included) using my phone. I guess he grew irritated with her as he exclaimed, "That's annoying Taylor." I busted out laughing. (I wonder where he learns such statements.)
