Just one word....

"WOW, FREDERICK, REALLY?!?!?!?!?!"

Cake Topper

Over the past few weeks, Frederick has become quite the smart little boy. 1) He opened the van door, pulled down the overhead compartment and opened the garage door. So now, when I say, "Go to the car." I have to add the disclaimer, "Do not open the garage."

2) I sat my car keys on the passenger seat. I went back into the house to get something. I heard the car start. NyCee was buckled in her car seat. Frederick on the other hand, put the correct key in the ignition and turned on the car.

3) And the latest ploy: he stepped into the tub, pulled closed the shower curtain closed, and pissed in my tub. Yes, you read correctly. (Excuse the language)He bypassed the toilet and pissed in my tub. Why? Why? WHAT WAS HE THINKING? I have no understanding of what was going through his mind to make him pee in my tub.

Pre-K Graduation Day

NyCee's Pre-K graduation was this morning. All the kids looked so cute singing the songs they learned throughout the year. NyCee has done remarkably well. She can write her first and last name, count to 100 by ten, read color words, count to 46 without help, and recognize other words such as: sunny, warm and cool.

(I am sure that you can spot her among the sea of students. HAHAHA)

She is so excited about tomorrow. She gets to meet her kindergarten teacher. We have to attend Kindergarten round up where NyCee will be introduced to her school, teacher and classroom. I almost tear up at the thought of her going to kindergarten. 5 years has passed so quickly.

This picture is of her class singing the goodbye song they sing at the conclusion of every class. Mrs. Beecher is a wonderful pre-k teacher. She has done an amazing job with all the kids. She is so caring and loving. It is remarkable to see how the kids have developed under her teaching.

She is so excited and has been asking for a "big girl back pack" for kindergarten. Shortly after we move, we will begin the hunt for the perfect Kindergarten back pack.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all wives, sisters, aunts, friends, moms, grandmoms, etc!

The kids made cards for me which was really cute and thoughtful. We went to church, looked at a couple of houses (I have to move next month), and then came home. Nothing exciting.

I have to go back to work tomorrow. In theory, I was off for two weeks. However, I spent those two weeks working and preparing for the start of the new session. Back to school for me as well. I have 8 classes to go and then I will be finish with course work. 2012 I will write my dissertation and receive the title of Dr. Dayna Thompson. That is pretty cool!

Nothing much else to write about. I found a house that I like today but it is rather far from church. About 30 minutes. It is about 20 minutes from the school where NyCee is scheduled to attend. But the house is really nice and in my price range. I am looking for a place to live for at least two years. I do not want to move again in a year.

Thank you to everyone who extended Happy Mother's Day wishes.

Disneyland Vacation

I took the kids to Disneyland in California for a vacation. I use the term "vacation" loosely because taking two kids to a park with 1000s of other kids is NOT a vacation. But both did very well on the drive and at the park. Tyler got tired and became fussy but he is three years old and that is expected.

Here are just a few of the photos. The only Princess that NyCee met was Rapunzel. Disneyland is a three-four day adventure in order to really enjoy the park. DisneyWorld in Florida would probably take a week to cover!
