My Mother's Day

Well, my mother's day was filled with sick and whiny children. NyCee got sick at church and I had to leave early. Thankfully, the 3rd service was about to begin and I only left about 30 minutes early. She hasn't eaten anything this afternoon. She has just laid on the couch watching T.V.

She has used the potty so I can rule out constipation. If she is not better by tomorrow evening, I will take her to the after hours clinic.

Tyler was just whiny. After he had a nap, then he was just overly hyper. I finally gave him a bath and put him to bed. He was out like a light.

As for me, I rebelled against mother's day this morning by not wearing heels to church with my suit. I celebrate mother's day for others but I do not like it for myself. I think it reminds me that I am not a very good mother. Although, given that I love my children, attend a church were I can learn to be a better parent, am putting myself through school to make a better life for us, I am a pretty good darn mom. Doesn't always feel like it though.

Happy Mommy's Day to everyone!

  1. Girl, that is a nonsense reason to not enjoy celebrating....You are a great Mom!!! I mean no one is perfect. There is no handbook to tell you what to do, so, of course you will make mistakes..but you learn from them and you move forward.
You are doing a fine job..I was just thinking about how the kids have McDonalds as a treat. That is Awesome. That means that your children are having a home-cooked meal every night while most kids think McDonalds is a home-cooked meal!!!!!!!!!! You read to the kids and you always have their best interest in mind. You teach them to be mannerable and you teach them about God. You can never go wrong there.
That makes you an excellent Mom. Most kids dont hardly even see their moms let alone spend QUALITY time with her.
Right now the kids are young, so just imagine all the oppotunities you will have to keep showing how great of a mother you are and can be.
I could say a ton more but I think that is enough for now.
    keep up the great work.
    Love ya.

** And I hope you were not critizing my grammer thoughout this whole comment....LOL!!
